Kyiv Manhattan
Modern buildings on Lesi Ukrainki Boulevard 7-9 can be counted on one hand - the Jack House residential complex, the Parus business center and the Gulliver shopping and entertainment center. Considering the density of existing buildings, placing two tall towers without disturbing the overall architectural ensemble is not an easy task. But the development company “Taryan Group” manages to competently organize a unique space. The idea of the residential complex is to create not just a comfortable place to live and relax, but also an entire cultural object that will bring a completely new look to the landscape of the capital.
Key features of the “Nver” residential area:
- 50-meter bridge connecting two towers
- panoramic pools, indoor and outdoor
- city viewing area with glass floor
- 5-star concierge service
- business center
- cigar and wine rooms
- private depository
- PARTY-room and VIP cinema
- Fitness and SPA zones
Futuristic architecture with exclusive lighting systems will radically change the appearance of the city center. This project will open the way for all other developers and will begin to gradually transform the established landscape of the capital. After all, Kyiv needs a modern symbol that attracts tourists from all over the country and the world.
Particular attention in the Nver project is paid to environmental friendliness. The developer uses clean materials and technologies that reduce the impact on the environment. In addition, the complex provides green areas, which creates a favorable microclimate and improves air quality.
The two towers also have an unprecedented level of security. Video surveillance systems, access control and modern security technologies provide
high level of safety for residents.
Response from the past
Various developers have been trying to create their own Manhattan since the early 2000s. The result of this was hundreds of unfinished objects, and some of them did not go beyond drawings and discussions. Unrealized projects in the very heart of Kyiv are especially interesting.
In 2007, architect Andrei Pashenko planned to build a 30-story shopping and office center on the site of a pre-war building demolished in 2004 on Khreshchatyk Street, 5. But by all accounts, the skyscraper would not have been compatible with the architecture of the Maidan and the European area. Although the project was approved, no one undertook to implement it.
15 years ago, instead of the old Ukraina Hotel, architect Sergei Babushkin proposed the idea of building a high-rise building with 67 above-ground and 7 underground floors.
The idea of the incredible skyscraper is to stylize it as a Ukrainian flag - blue and yellow glass. But, as usually happens in the capital, concerned citizens were strongly against the project, demanding that the cultural heritage and historical center be preserved.

In April 2005, the project of an office and residential complex on Boychuk Street, 1b was discussed. Sergei Vasyanovich proposed to erect a grandiose 25-story building, with “wings” of 9 floors. Thus, several historical buildings for this new building would have to be destroyed, while others would have to be raised to 8-9 floors.
The high-rise building did not fit into the appearance of the Menagerie at all and at the same time violated many urban planning rules. A place for construction was allocated - they planned to resettle the people living nearby and demolish their houses. But despite such decisive actions, the project was not implemented.
Promising future?
Unlike the above-mentioned failed projects, the “Nver” residential complex is being built by “Taryan Group”, which has long established itself as a reliable developer, implementing solid projects without problems - “Taryan Towers”, “Jack House”, “Tsarsky City Resort” , “Royal Tower.”
“Nver” is planned to be put into operation in 2025. Skyscrapers can become a new decoration of Kyiv, because the capital lacks bold and daring buildings that can surprise with a non-standard approach to external and internal design.
